2025 Week 30 | Sigma: Do you NPS? Why yes.

Can you create a feedback app?

Introduction

This week, we’re switching gears — from surfacing insights to capturing them.

Using just a few of Sigma’s core features — input tables, controls, and actions — you can build a fully embedded NPS tool that lives right inside your dashboard. No scripts, no third-party forms, and no jumping between tools.

It’s fast, flexible, and fully customizable. You can use the same setup to collect internal feedback, power a health scoring model, or build a quick sentiment tracker for any audience — all of it available to use throughout your data workflows.

Whether embedded or standalone, it’s an slick way to turn viewers into contributors — and keep a real-time pulse on your business.

Rock steady,
Carter

Requirements

No dataset this week

Getting started:

  1. Create an input table (“A”) with 10 number-value columns.
(Tip: Make the column names match their values – e.g., a column named “7” with a value of 7.)
This table powers your scoring controls.
  2. Create a second input table (“B”) to capture form responses.
(Tip: Include an “ID” column and a “Last Updated At” timestamp.)
  3. Add your NPS or feedback questions to a new tab/page.
  4. For each question, create a child table from “A” – this is the interactive scoring form users will click.
  5. Set up an Action for each question’s child table to update a Control Element.
(Each question gets its own CE.)
  6. Add a “Submit” button that:

    • Inserts a new row into table “B”

    • Clears the control values

  7. Once responses start flowing into “B”, you can build visuals or child tables to analyze the results!

📢 Don’t forget to publish and share your build!
Let’s see how you use it! 🚀
