Introduction
This challenge centers on the Drill Down Tree.
It was inspired by a real-world request: “Is there an easy way to build one in Tableau?”
In the end, the challenge I devised may not be straightforward—but I encourage you to give it a try!
Requirements
- Dashboard size: 1000 × 800
- Number of sheets: 1
- Display the percentage of Sales in the hierarchy Category → Sub-Category → Manufacturer
- Drill behavior when a mark is clicked:
- If the next lower-level chart is not displayed, drill down to that level.
- If the next lower-level chart is displayed, collapse it (drill up).
- Sort the percentage of Sales in descending order.
Dataset
This challenge uses the Sample Superstore dataset, with Product Name grouped as Manufacturer.
