Week 40: Can you show and hide your sheets?

I was recently helping a coworker on a dashboard and mentioned sheet swapping as a potential solution to a problem. My coworker stopped me mid-sentence and said “What on earth is sheet swapping?!” We operate in our own Tableau bubble, and sometimes assume everyone else knows exactly what we do, I’m hoping Workout Wednesday is changing this throughout the world! Anyway, this will be a simple challenge and the solution is well documented in many Tableau blogs, but I wanted to make sure to have a basic sheet swapping workout for those who have never done this task before. If you know exactly how to do this, take 10 minutes and complete it, and if not.. you are about to learn a valuable Tableau trick! The idea behind this challenge is simple, implement a standard sheet swapping solution, but provide the user a visual preview of what the sheet they are swapping to will look like. The hope being the preview of the viz will help our users interact with our work, where a parameter by itself can sometimes get lost in the shuffle.
