Playing with Ranks in CRM Analytics!

Introduction

It’s the 18th week of the year and time for another CRM Analytics challenge! This week’s task is to rank the energy dataset by country for each year and create one chart out of it. This chart will show the least and most energy consumed based on the type of energy consumption selected. Sounds simple enough, right? Join us in this fun challenge!

Requirements

  • Create a dev org or use an existing org you have access to
  • Connect to the energy dataset
  • Create a dashboard
  • Create a chart that ranks the most and least energy consumed – limit to top 10 in each case.
  • The final dashboard
    • There should be a toggle for the user to select the most or least energy consumed.
    • There should be a listselector that uses the measure columns that exist in the dataset.
  • There should be one chart only for both scenarios.

The resulting dataset should look something like this:

Two rank formulae will be required! And use SAQL!

Dataset

This challenge uses a Energy dataset from “Our World in Data“. The curated data for the challenge is available here.
